Seminar Worckshop PROSESC Project

The Regional Development Agency West Region Romania, together with the Automotivest Association, organized on May  18, 2010, the international workshop on clusters, concepts on regional agglomeration & general principles of cluster facilitation in the project PROSESC (Producer Services for European Sustainability and Competitiveness), financed by the INTERREG IV C Programme.

The overall objective is to help regional policy-makers to design and implement strategies to increase the innovation performance of European regions in road transport sector. In this regard, the project is carried out exchanges of good practices between partners and to encourage taking the programming documents of the participating regions and models of sustainable transport solutions identified by advanced research institutes in this field.

Through this event, the  Automotivest Association has proposed establishing connections between West Region and other regions of the European Union, and to exchange good practices in automotive clusters - an area of real importance in the Western Region.

The seminar was moderated by an expert in the field, John Murray - Director of British Growthclusters, and had the themes " Role of Cluster Development in Innovation” and "Clusters for the Bigger Impact" . The event brought together international organizations from West Region, and countries like Germany, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Britain and Spain were represented at the seminar by organizations such as universities, innovation, regional development organizations, and research centers.
