Logistics Conference, March 5th 2013, Bucharest
On March 5th 2013 will take place at Radisson Blu, Bucharest, the Conference “Romania on track to become East-gate trade hub?”
The main subjects of the day:
- Fiscal development. A new fiscal code was adopted recently, what are the benefits and what the downsides of this code are for the business community. Furthermore, in the past years a lot of effort was put in re-introducing a system of VAT deferment in Romania. Why has this not been implemented, given all the benefits this could have for attracting trade and new business to Romania.
- Port Development. The Port of Constanta is a major factor in the development of Romania as an East-gate. What are the lessons from the Port of Rotterdam? How can a country attract trade with and through its port? What are the next steps planned by the Ministry? Privatization? Transfer of ownership to Municipality?
- Intermodal transport. How can we develop the intermodal transport to facilitate transforming Romania in Europe's East-gate trade hub?
