The Ministry of Economy as the Program Operator for externally funded program "Energy Efficiency" will organize a conference in Bucharest, January 30, from 9:00 to launch the call "Application of energy efficiency projects in the program industry for SMEs ", funded by the European Economic Area (EEA). In February, informative seminars will be organized for the same call in Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara and Iasi.
The specific objective of the program is to reduce the CO2 footprint through energy savings in industry and reduction of GHG emissions. Priority is given, according to the score, to projects that provide the greatest reduction in CO2 emissions in relation to financial resources grant program (tCO2/1000 Euro).
The financing type is non-refundable and based on a state aid scheme for energy efficiency of eligible expenditures made for the project. It funds projects that meet the objectives and fall within the technical and financial evaluation grid.
The total amount is of 8.235.294 Euro (SEE funds).
The value of the grant per project is: minimum - 200.000 euro, maximum – 700.000 euro.
The funding rate of the non-refundable grants (relative to the total budget) can not exceed 70%. The difference to the total value of the project is covered by the beneficiary - at least 30% of eligible costs.
Eligible applicants: small and medium-sized industrial enterprises (SMEs), except for the following sectors (according to the state scheme): Fishing and aquaculture shipbuilding, food industry, coal industry, steel industry, synthetic fibers, primary production agricultural products, financial support of the export, distribution networks.
The event will have a component of bilateral cooperation, which will be held in the afternoon. Are encouraged bilateral projects carried out in cooperation with partners from the donor countries (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein).
