Promoting Regional Career in Automotivest
Automotivest Association, together with the Polytechnic University of Timisoara and Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, submitted the project "Promoting Regional Career in Automotivest and Engineering - Careers Automotivest ".
The main objective of the project is to increase students' employability in the labor market of automotive industry related fields (engineering, industrial design, automation, machinery etc.) by helping them in the transition from school to work through actions of professional guidance and practical training. The project aims to increase employment not only punctual, but long term.
By working with automotive companies within the project implementation, may generate new ideas and proposals of employers regarding diversifying recruitment techniques to attract graduates, often based on students' desires and skills development, in addition to remuneration and other facilities.
The analysis of automotive and machine building industry of the West Region show that in 2009 there were approximately 156 companies with about 40.000 employees and a turnover of 1.5 billion Euro.
In this context, there were a series of meetings with stakeholders in the automotive industry, from which the following sub-domains were identified as development trends and specialization in automotive and mechanical engineering in the West Region: plastic prototyping, testing (mechanical, heat, electricity), 3D measurement, chemical testing of raw materials, soft simulations of plastics, pneumatics and hydraulics, implementation of quality standards especially for suppliers, training on the standards of accuracy.
The project will ensure the continuation of activities performed, valuing and mainstreaming of results.
